Matthew Bouwmeester

Matthew's elegant and lush sound, along with a variety of modern tones, creates a unique mix of textures and intricate orchestral arrangements, enhancing the story's narrative and emotional depth.

Matthew has contributed as a production assistant on two recording sessions for the score of ‘Napoleon’ (2023) composed by Martin Phipps, thanks to the amazing opportunity given to him by Daniel Sonabend, a composer which Matthew assists frequently.

Matthew has also worked with composer Daniel Sonabend as a composer’s assistant for the art installation of Boucheron’s new flagship store in Ginza (Tokyo, Japan), as well as contributing with additional orchestrations for the BBC series ‘Cold Case Investigators: Solving Britain’s Sex Crimes’, now streaming on BBC iPlayer, as well as working closely with director Vidas Kalibatas from WeFilm productions on their new comedy short film titled ‘Kink’ (2024) to create a fun, light and somewhat uncomfortable soundtrack. .

Most recently he contributed to the music department as a score assistant on National Geographic’s (Disney) new limited series titled ‘Cursed Gold: A Shipwreck Scandal’, in collaboration with the BBC, now available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu.

Beyond music, Matthew is highly teamwork-oriented, as he believes that surrounding himself with like-minded people driven by passion will ultimately get out the best of every individual.
